What was it that took a messed-up 20 year-old petty criminal on an unexpected journey into the supernatural?

Find out in my new book "Hello David, I'm God....and don't you ever forget it!"

It is an honest, often humorous, sometimes painful account of one man's experience of someone he simply calls Father.

One man who has just read it sent me a message as follows: "Excellent, thank you, I cried. Very, very encouraging. This book needed to be written to encourage many more 'ordinary people' who believe there must be more...for me it has helped me to understand why I must press in until I hear...thank you David."

You can buy it now for 8.99GBP UK delivery and 9.99GBP for non-UK delivery.

"Leaves us marvelling at God's intimate care and His interest in every aspect of our lives" - from foreword by Hugh Osgood

"Brilliant! A real page turner" - Peter Stott

"A cracking read" - Jerry Green

"Compelling!" - Connie Scott

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love heaven. And I love the earth. But I am thrilled when they collide.

Currently, I appear to have a 'portfolio' career.

1. Part of my time is spent coaching and praying for businesses and businesspeople I know. I seem to have a particular bent (or whatever) towards people in major transitions, helping them to reposition accurately. It used to be a bit of a joke for my friends (and God I think) because I went through a funny season when people came up to me at conferences or meetings saying that God has told them to come speak to me. The first question I asked them was 'have you or are you about to be made redundant?' 99 per cent of the time the answer was 'Yes. How did you know?' Many of these people now have what I affectionately call 'throne room' businesses. There is NO way the business could have happened without massive supernatural intervention. Fun eh?

2. Anyway, another part of my time is spent writing what I am discovering and researching what others are finding out. I like to write in story form, rather than line upon line. Much of what I think God is showing me is so beyond me, really the only way to communicate is by true stories. Ask me to tell you about my builder friend and the kitchen sometime, or the accountant. I tend to think unstructured and dislike 'this is the way it must happen' teaching. Step 1, step 2 etc. Yawn,,,,I think God is rather bigger than our silly little formulas.

3. Yet another part is spent as a communications consultant, specialising in solving complex communications problems a business is facing (internal/external marcomms). Great fun and very stimulating when I land the right project...I am also working regularly on multi-language e-learning projects for a company which is turning out to be a steep learning curve (if you will excuse the pun!).

4. The final part is spent sharing what I am discovering to churches and congregations as and when God opens doors. This appears to be increasing. Mentoring emerging prophetic giftings also seems to be developing steadily. I have made SO many mistakes that I am well qualified to help others not to fall into certain ditches!

I have a wonderful wife, Anna and a nearly-7 year old boy, Tom. We live near London, UK and are part of God's family at The River Centre Church. On New Year's eve, my mum came over and we all had a curry takeaway and watched Wallace and Gromitt movies together.

It all sounds together-ish, but mostly it is trying to follow where God is leading each day...into unknown and not well trodden, sometimes completely invisible, paths.

Hope this gives you a good snapshot of who you are talking to.

If heaven is full of beauty, joy, fun and laughter, like the Bible seems to indicate it is, wouldn't it be great if we could see more of it on earth? What if that is our core purpose for being here? How would it look - at home, in the office, running a business and in the church?

My own story so far of this journey could well be called 'Mistakes, Messes and Miracles'. I've discovered that walking with the living God is never boring, often infuriating, always stretching and frequently hair raising. At times it can be messy, untidy and utterly unpredictable...so if that's what life is like for you, take heart. He has a plan. It was written before time began. And you're not on your own.
